About the founder

The company is owned and operated by Indira Samayoa Bettner, a native Spanish speaker who is fully immersed in both English and Spanish language and culture, as she was born, raised, and educated in El Salvador, Central America, and has spent her entire adult life in the United States. Indira has a Bachelor´s Degree with a double major in Communication and Psychology from Cal State University San Marcos; a Professional Certificate in Business Management and a Specialized Certificate in English-Spanish Translation from the University of California San Diego. Indira’s early career development includes roles in Human Resources, Grant Writing, Research, and Communications. Her passion for languages and culture from an early age, combined with her resourcefulness and exceptional writing skills, translate into the perfect recipe for success in the language services field.

She started freelancing in the early 2000s through Bettner & Associates. Through her extensive work with employers, translation agencies and direct clients, Indira has provided a wide range of linguistic services including translation, proofreading, editing, quality assurance, linguistic validation, in addition to skilled terminology management, glossary and style guide development. Indira is a member of the American’s Translators Association (ATA) and the Association for Translators and Interpreters in San Diego (ATISDA). She currently resides in San Diego, California with her husband, Mark.
